According to the Bible, the way to become a Christian and be saved is to:
1. Hear the Word of God
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.–Romans 10:17
2. Believe the Word of God
I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.–John 8:24
3. Repent of your sins
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.–Acts 17:30
4. Confess your belief that Jesus is the Christ
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.–Matthew 10:32
5. Be baptized for the forgiveness of sins
Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.–Acts 2:38
6. Live a faithful Christian life
Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.–Revelation 2:10
